M by Mariah Carey Perfume Review

M By Mariah Carey

I am not the type of girl to have a signature scent. I'd rather rotate a few fragrances I really love. However, recently I have really been LOVING  'M by Mariah Carey'

I cannot speak highly enough of the fragrance! It is such a beautiful, sweet smell that lingers nicely - while not being too overpowering.

The packing is adorable and looks great as a display bottle as well. Purple is my favorite color so I may be slightly biased, however, the butterfly lid really just adds to the cuteness of the bottle.

I recently saw it for only $29 however, it normally retails for around the $50 mark.

As you can see, I am a fair way through mine, however, I will definitely be repurchasing once it's finished.

What are some fragrances you are currently loving?

Something to Ponder!

I recently saw this picture on Instagram and I thought it would be lovely to share with anyone that reads my blog.

For anyone that knows me, 2012 was a terrible year. What started out being one of my best years, slowly deteriorated into being a new low. However, there is no point dwelling. Lets look forward.

I know 2013 is going to be fantastic! We are almost through first month and I can already tell its going to be amazing.

I hope you find as much meaning in this picture as I did.

Ulta3 Nail Polish Review

Ulta3 Pro Salon Manicure - from pharmacies for approx $4

I’ve heard a lot of buzz lately about the Ulta3 Pro – Salon Manicure collection, so on a recent trip to my pharmacy I decided to pick one up to try for myself.

I picked up a nice neutral color ‘Café au Lait’ – which I adore.

The polish is not the best quality in the world, however, having said that, I have definitely used worse. The polish is extremely opaque so you really only need 1 – 2 coats, for a nice looking color.

I didn’t feel the brush provided a ‘one stroke application’ like the bottle stated, but to be honest it wasn’t a bad brush to work with either.

The only downside to this polish is that it doesn’t last all that long – for me it lasted a day without chipping and after 2 days I had to take it off. I used a ‘China Glaze’ base and top coat and still had the chipping problem. I feel for an event or a night out this polish would be awesome!!

Has anyone tried any colors from the range that they recommend?

Current Loves!

You know it's going to be a good day when not only do you make the early train BUT you also get a seat!

I know I haven't blogged for a bit, so to get back into the swing of things I thought id let you know some of things I've been loving while I've been away.

Better Crocker - Chocolate Chip Cookie Candle

I recently found these at a $2 store (for $2) and I have to say... It's love! These candles smell like different Betty Crocker baked goodies! My personal fave is the 'Choc Chip Cookies' however, they are all amazing. Ordinarily they retail for around $15 but are definitely worth it.

Chanel Lip Gloss

I got this a while ago, however, I've only recently started using it again. This is in the color 119, and it is a beautiful pink with an amazing shine. For a gloss it has amazing staying power and really gives my lips a 'fuller' look! It retails for around $30.  I will definitely be repurchasing this product once I'm done!!

Nike Trainers

I am currently on a 'Bali Body transformation' (dedicated blog post on that soon) so I have been hitting up the gym fairly regularly. These trainers are super comfy and supportive, and I adore the pink. They retail for around $200

Nashville - TV Show

This show just makes me want to pack up all my stuff, quit my job and move to Nashville to pursue country music - I've actually just started earning guitar because of it! If you haven't checkout out this show - I strongly recommend it. It's a mixture between, Glee, Smash and Dallas? Either way I love it - and I'm majorly girl crushing on Hayden Panettiere!

So that's where I've been! Nothing too exciting but it's been a nice relaxing time.

I hope everyone has had a fantastic January!

Until Next Time!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

I normally dread the start of a new year – it never really lives up to the hype, however, this year I was beyond excited to see the back of 2012 and embrace all that 2013 has to offer.

2013 is going to be a massive year for me. There is so much I have set out to achieve. I normally don’t make ‘New Years Resolutions’ but thought I would this year. I thought if I blogged about them it would keep me accountable, and, if I fall of the wagon someone reading this can really remind me of how terrible I am. (note: I do not plan to fall of the wagon, but if you fail to plan, you plan to fail!)

So Here are my resolutions:

Firstly, to blog and vlog more. Now I know what you’re thinking – this shouldn’t be a resolution, if you want to do it, you should just do. But, its not that simple. I love writing and talking about my experiences, thoughts etc but I guess I have a fear that people wont like what I write or like the videos I make So, for 2013  I just want to abandon that thought and write, vlog & whatever as much as I want.

My Second resolution is to get healthy. This has been a long standing goal of mine however, I feel I’m in the perfect place to achieve it. I finally have amazing, motivational people around me and I know I will be able to do it.

My third (and last) resolution  is to perform more.  You may or may not know this, but I’m actually a singer and over the last year I really let my music slide which isn’t cool, so I want to focus on that throughout the year as well.

So that’s it for now – im sure there are more but they are the main things I hope to achieve in 2013.

Did you make any new years resolutions?

Tight Ass Tuesday - Nail Polish Remover Pads

It’s Tuesday and you know what that means – ‘Tight Ass Tuesday’.

If you have read my blog, you know I have a massive obsession with Nail Polishes. Unfortunately, I always find that using normal Nail Polish Remover really dries out my skin so I'm always on the hunt for new products.

I recently picked up these ‘Nail Polish Removal Pads’ from Kmart for only $4.They are 'brandless' but are part of Kmarts new makeup/accessory line.

In short, they are amazing. I was skeptical that the one wipe wouldn't get all the color off my nails but I can usually do 3 – 5 Fingers depending on the pigment of the polish.

I highly recommend these! I look forward to trying different brands of the removal pads but for now, you can't beat these for the price.

Has anyone else tried these??

Blush Palette

I have only just realized how much a lovely blush can enhance your every day look. As I am new to the wonderful world of blush I am hesitant to spend absurd amounts of money on bright colors that may or may not suit my skin tone. Enter The Blush Palette.

I recently picked up this blush palette off eBay. It has some bright colors which I was really interested in trying to help me decide if I should invest in more daring shades.

The palette has 10 shades ranging from a beautiful pink to a deeper red. I have tried most of the shades and I have to admit, I love all of them.

I was skeptical at first about the quality of the blush, however, it has a fanastic color pay off and really lasts a long time on the skin.

I am definitely more comfortable with brighter/different blush colors now and I look forward to trying many more.

Do you have any blushes you recommend?
